High quality kits will contain henna in combination with other plant powders to achieve different colour stains. For example: Henna + Cassia can dye light hair a strawberry blond. Henna + Indigo can achieve browns or even black. The henna hair dyes found in health food stores are NOT pure plant dyes. They contain chemical dyes and / or metallic salts. Plus, the henna powder in them will be old & not able to stain.
